Individual therapy in North Norfolk and Online

AEDP and integrative psychotherapy and counselling for adults in Swanton Abbott, near Aylsham, and online via Zoom

A space to slow down, feel supported and begin to make sense of what you are carrying

There are times in life when things can begin to feel overwhelming. You may be living with anxiety, low mood, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, a sense of disconnection, or a feeling that something is not quite right. Sometimes people come to therapy in the midst of a crisis; sometimes they arrive with a quieter sense of feeling stuck, lost or unlike themselves.

Individual therapy offers a confidential and supportive space to explore what has brought you here. Together, we can begin to understand the patterns, experiences and emotional burdens that may be affecting your life, and work towards greater ease, resilience and a stronger sense of self.

I offer one-to-one therapy in person from my office at Grove Farm Wellbeing in Swanton Abbott, North Norfolk, and online via Zoom.

AEDP & Integrative Psychotherapy

My work is grounded in both AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) and Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling.

AEDP is a relational and experiential model of therapy that supports people to process overwhelming emotional experiences, particularly those linked to trauma, attachment wounds and times when life has felt too painful or too alone. A central part of this work is the “undoing of aloneness” — creating a therapeutic relationship in which you feel supported, emotionally met and safe enough for healing and change to occur.

As an integrative therapist, I also draw on a broad understanding of psychotherapy, allowing me to work in a personalised and responsive way. This means therapy is shaped around you, your history, your present circumstances and what feels most supportive and useful.

This is not only a space for talking about problems. It is also a space for gently exploring emotional experience, noticing what is held in the body, and helping difficult feelings or experiences become more manageable and understood.

How therapy can help

People come to therapy for many different reasons. I often work with clients experiencing:

  • trauma and complex trauma

  • anxiety and depression

  • grief and loss

  • PTSD and dissociation

  • abandonment and attachment wounds

  • low self-worth

  • ADHD and ASD diagnoses

  • emotional or relational difficulties

  • feeling stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected

  • wanting a deeper, more experiential approach to therapy

You do not need to have everything figured out before starting. Therapy can begin simply with a sense that something needs care, attention or change.

A relational and supportive approach

Therapy is not about being judged, analysed from a distance, or expected to have all the answers. It is a space where you can bring your thoughts, feelings, questions and uncertainties, and explore them with someone alongside you.

My approach is relational, thoughtful and emotionally attentive. I work at a pace that feels manageable, with care for what you have been carrying and respect for the ways you may have learned to protect yourself.

The aim is not simply to understand why you feel the way you do, but to support meaningful change, helping you feel less alone, more resourced, and more able to live with greater freedom, vitality and self-understanding.
